Read & Publish agreements provide support for the costs of publishing open access. The agreements cover the Article Processing Charges (APCs) of eligible papers. Papers are usually published with a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) licence by default. The agreements also provide access to content.
Read & Publish Agreements: eligibility criteria for publishing
To be eligible to publish your paper through one of the University’s agreements, the following conditions are required:
- the article is accepted for publication during the term of the agreement, and
- the journal is a participating journal, and
- the deal covers the article type, and
- the corresponding author's affiliation is with the University of Cambridge, i.e., they are staff or students at Cambridge. The affiliation needs to be current when the paper is considered for approval.
Authors should use their @cam.ac.uk email address in the publisher's submission system.
